Sakura (Pt I)

We are on the south side of the planet, so here we have a different time for everything. While you are out there, enjoying your long days, and summer activities, we are here freezing (ok, not exactly freezing, because we are having a pretty warm winter, but you got the point). And the same happens with flowers. Sakura (or cherry blossoms, or fleur de cerisier, or how you wanna call it) are blooming here. There’s a garden full of them in a city 40 minutes away from mine. We went there one sunday and spent the whole day admiring those beauties. The day before was so rainy, so they cancelled all the festivities, which was nice, because it was so empty we could walk so peaceful and take as many pictures as we wanted. And we did! I finished my Fuji Pro 400H roll there and started a Portra 800, which I didn’t develop yet! Sakura reminds me of that Kill Bill scene with Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu, so  I kept singing Nancy Sinatra’s “Bang bang” in my head (and sometimes out loud, lol) the whole time I was there. Is there anyone in the whole wide world who doesn’t love this song?
