my girls

More pictures from my girls because I can't get enough of them. They are my brother's daughters. The youngest is also my goddaughter, as I told you here.

Cassia is the older and taller. She is taller than me (not so hard to be) and is now 12 years old. Time runs fast. I still can remember perfectly the day she was born and when I first held her. She was so little. I thought I could never love someone this much. Until Alice was born. When my sister-in-law got pregnant, my brother invited me and my boyfriend to be her godparents. And I had this stupid fear of not loving her as much as I already loved Cassia. But I don't need to say how silly this fear was, right? I love them both equally, like they were both my kids. My girls. And they know that. When Cassia was born, I was starting to learn about photography, and when Alice was born I had just  bought my first camera. I have been documenting their lives since they can remember. Funny to see how my photography mature at the same time they are maturing.

  10. Haha, thank you, Aia! I think they like me as an aunt, haha. I sure love to have them as nieces. We always have a great time together. Cassia and I watch a lot of series and old movies together and Alice and I watch a lot of cartoons. Right now we are on to Adventure Time. :)

  11. Yes! As I told you, I love the skin tone. Those we're taken in the late afternoon, almost sunset time. That's why they look warmer. But in general I just love the results. You won't regret trying! I'm looking forward to see Budapest on your Pro 400H! Sure it will be beautiful! :)

  12. These are beautifully captured, it is so lovely for them to have such a loving adult in their lives. I always had a really good relationship with my Mum's sister and it's just such a valuable thing to have in your life as a young person :)

  14. Beautiful pictures! I love Portra so much, it creates such a lovely colour.

I took your advice and bought D700, receiving it tomorrow..so excited to test it out! Also bought 35mm f2. I wanted 35mm 1.8 or below but the price was too steep. Though I hear 35mm 2 is still very sharp so hopefully they will do for now.

  17. Portra is my favorite film for (duh) portraits. The colors are so romantic! :)

You will love D700. And I have a friend who uses this lens and she loves. I never use it. I love mine, it is the sharpest lens ever, but you are right, it is very pricey. I almost had to sell a kidney to buy it, haha.
