bunnies

there's this park near my house that once was a sanatorium. It may sound creepy, but it isn't. People use to treat tuberculosis in there, because of all the green area. And it was many years a go. These days, there's a lot of bunnies and rabbits and some birds playing around. The buildings now belong to the city hall and people go there to jogging, walking or just to contemplate. Anyways. I was photographing the bunnies, then the guy came in to feed and he was so gentle with the black one I wanted to take a picture, but he ran away faster then a bullet. haha.

And then, as we were leaving, my boyfriend wanted to play around with the camera. He said it wasn't working, so I asked him what is was, and he took a shot of me. That's why I have this funny face. In real life I'm much more nice, I promise.

  1. hi Thais :)
The park actually looks really serene... like a place I would go to for a walk to clear some thoughts.

  9. I love my F100. It's light and the quality is priceless. Well, I'm a Nikon lover. haha. On digital too, I use a D700 (soon to be replaced by the Df) and for me the good thing is that I can use all my lens on both, since they have the same mount. Very practical. :)

  12. As for digital, I own a D80 and I wanted to upgrade so I did some research - most pointed me to D700 or D300 for a cheaper alternative. Would you recommend D700 to me? I love film but at some times film and developing cost is too steep so I do use digital quite as regularly.

    Let me know! Thanks :-)

  13. Well, the D700 or D800 or Df are all full frames, so they can handle high ISOs better than the D80. I use it professionally so, for me, it pays off. I shoot a lot of subjects in very low lights, so it's important to have a full frame and also good lens. If you shoot professionally, I would recommend any full frame, because they really make a difference. But if you shoot just for hobby, or you're just learning, I would say go for the D300 and invest the rest of money on good lens. You probably will have to change bodies eventually, even if you buy the D700, but the lens, as long as you take good care of them, are forever.

  14. I do shoot professionally. I've few opportunities photographing portraits and weddings (going to France end of august to photograph a wedding!) and would like to develop my portfolio with even better camera because so far D80 I am not sastified. I am getting D700 more likely! Going away to Majorca for a week next week, I think it will give me a time to mull over. Thanks so so so much for your advice!
